Emotional Support Workshop Series
Smart Beginnings Danville Pittsylvania is pleased to announce a free series of virtual emotional support workshops. The workshops are designed for adults who have been providing in person care for children during the pandemic. Supporting caretakers supports the kids they serve. Topics include: coping during stressful times, healthy boundaries, grief and loss, and coping strategies.
Participants must register individually for each session.
Trainings will be led by nationally certified speaker Emily Ballance, MEd, LPC, CSP.

Emily Ballance, MEd, LCMHC, CSP educates and inspires audiences across the country as well as online with her humor, honesty, and lively stories. Her presentations to educational groups, associations, healthcare organizations and corporations have been described as "highly entertaining, uplifting and thought-provoking." Emily holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina. She is a former lecturer and counselor at the Duke University Dietary Clinic in Durham, NC, and a wellness consultant for StayWell, a highly successful and innovative employee wellness program at Control Data Corporation in LA, CA.
